Meet Your Trip Companions (Our Ingredients)

Lion’s Mane (fungi) (Hercium erinaceus) is an adaptogen, antioxidant, has been shown to both repair existing, and grow new neural pathways. LM has a major synergistic benefit as they too open new and lesser used pathways, and connect areas of the brain that don’t normally communicate.
These new pathways become quickly reinforced during an experience, allowing for permanent growth and change. Providing you with epiphanies, that STICK!
A commonly reported side effect of travel is nausea. The active components in ginger (gingerols and shogaols) help soothe upset stomachs, and can reduce nausea.
Ginger may also manage blood pressure and support overall heart health. Ginger has been used in tea for centuries to alleviate pain and inflammation, which helps with the “body load” experienced during an experience.

L-theanine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in green tea (and other plants and fungi), that calms the nerves and eases come-up anxiety.
It has been shown to reduce acute stress and anxiety in people with stressful conditions.
Some of the best moments can happen during the onset of an experience, feeling anxious during this time can un-intentionally set your intention for the coming trip. L-theanine provides a smooth transition into the experience, keeping you calm and open.
Cordyceps (fungi) (Cordyceps militaris) have been used by athletes to increase ATP, a molecule that is essential for delivering energy to the muscles. This increase also oxygenates your blood, essentially increasing your fitness level.
For you adventurers, this helps immensely with the “body load” effect.

Orange is a wonderfully fresh flavor to match with the earthy taste allowing the tea to be an enjoyable treat rather than something to “choke down”.
Orange peel is extremely high in vitamin C (more than the fruit itself!) which we could all use more of.
Most of the oil in orange peel is composed of limonene, a natural compound being studied for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Hibiscus has been used in teas for its calming effect. Studies have found that the dried flowers lower blood pressure and can also reduce bad cholesterol. It can also reduce free radicals in the body.
All great to support your journey!
The flavor makes for a delicious brew!

Safflower has been used in teas for centuries in Iranian folklore medicine for a variety of reasons.
These uses have been confirmed recently by modern medicine. It has been confirmed to help detoxify your body, have anti-inflammatory properties, lower “bad” cholesterol (and raise “good” cholesterol) which helps with overall heart health.
Safflower is also used to increase circulation and ease muscle pain. These effects help support you in your journey!
Licorice root is considered one of the world’s oldest herbal remedies.
The main compound glycyrrhizin is responsible for its sweet taste, and its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
The root is helpful with stomach issues that arise often with going on a trip. It is quite the gastric soother, helping with indigestion and even acid reflux!

Citric Acid is a stabilizer and flavor enhancer.
In some of our blends it is simply there to add a little tartness to balance out the earthy taste.
In others, with higher amounts it enhances the extraction process.
